Big Camp Terms and Conditions – North New Zealand Conference

Online Registration

Registration for camp will open on Monday the 19th of August , and will close on Friday the 22nd of November 2024.

Once you complete your online application, you will receive an automated receipt of the confirmation by email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us on NNZConf@adventist.org.nz

Cancellations and Refunds

We require notice of cancellation prior to 15 December 2022.  After 21 November 2022, any cancellation and refunds requests will be considered but will incur $25 processing fee.  We will consider waiving the processing fee on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation for the reason of late cancellation (e.g. medical reasons, death in the immediate family, etc).

We reserve the right to add, reschedule or substitute speakers and/or vary advertised programmes, prices, and venues. Should an event fail to attract a minimum number of participants, we reserve the right to cancel.

Campground Commencement and Conclusion

Big Camp will commence registration at 10:00 am Friday 3 January 2025. Attendees will not be able to check-in prior to this time.  Big Camp 2025 officially ends on Saturday night, 11 January 2025.

All campers MUST vacate the campground and Tui Ridge Park by 12:00 pm on Sunday 12 January 2025.

We request all attendees not to set up or dismantle their camp during Sabbath hours.

Adult Supervision of Children

Children must never be left without adequate adult supervision at all times.  Young people under the age of 18 years are not permitted to camp overnight without adequate adult supervision approved by the camp committee.

Consideration of other Campers

There is an obligatory curfew for all campers from 11:00 pm. Noise levels are not to disturb other campers from 10:00 pm and all campers should be in their elected accommodation site and quiet by 11:00 pm.

Sleeping on Campgrounds

For Health and Safety reasons, no one may sleep on the campgrounds unless they are registered as a camper.  Please refer to notes under the ‘adult supervision of children’.

Vehicle Speed limit

The speed limit from the main entrance to the main campground is 30km/hr, reducing to 10km/hr around the campground. Failure to respect this may result in the driver being asked to leave the campground.

Car Parking and Vehicle Permits

Car parking is in designated areas only. Only authorised vehicles may park in front of cabins. Fire regulations prohibit vehicles parking in the campsite areas.  All vehicles must display their camp ‘vehicle permit’ on their dashboard at all times.

The camping area is closed to all vehicles from sunset Friday, 3 January 2025 until after close of Sabbath, 11 January 2025 with the exception of authorised vehicles.

Rubbish

It is every campers’ responsibility to keep their areas clean and tidy. Bins are located at central points around the campground and will be cleared daily by Tui Ridge Park staff.

Site Specific

Tui Ridge Park is a smoke-free, vape free, alcohol-free and drug-free property. Persons found in possession or use of these items may be asked to leave the campground. Please treat our campground with respect.

Liability

Every effort is taken to ensure the comfort and safety of each guest and due care will be exercised by the camp staff and contractors. This said staff will not incur any responsibility or liability whatsoever for any accident or illness to any guests or damage to other guests’ property which may happen through any circumstances.

Pets and Animals

Pets are not permitted anywhere on Tui Ridge Park property.

Wi-Fi

There will be no Wi-Fi available during the duration of Big Camp.

Registering and purchasing NNZC products online

Credit card payment is available online in real time. You will be informed immediately if your credit card is declined. If declined, you may check the accuracy of the credit card number and expiration date or choose a different card to try. Your registration or booking will be submitted immediately for activation once you completed your online payment. Your credit card details will NOT be retained by NNZC after the transaction.

Photo & Video Disclaimer

Any photograph/video taken at the event may be used on social media and or in future advertising by the North New Zealand Conference. To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian.

A person attending a North New Zealand Conference event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organisers, and/or contact North New Zealand Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Private Bag 76900, Manukau, Auckland 2241, in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. The North New Zealand Conference will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.
